Trans­mis­sion Con­trol Pro­to­col/Inter­net Pro­to­col (TCP/IP ) is a set of pro­to­cols that allows com­put­ers to com­mu­ni­cate with one another. Despite its name, the stack includes a vari­ety of pro­to­cols, includ­ing IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, DNS, SMTP, ARP, and many oth­ers.
